Feliway friends for stressed multi cat households
I am on the fence about this stuff. I have used it many times over the years with different cats in our home. On the first occasion it had a detrimental effect on a cat and made it seem drugged and changed his personality negatively. The other cat seemed unaffected. This time it has so far after two and a bit months made no difference to behaviour. They still fight, hiss and are generally mean to each other. I'm sure it works for some but I can't recommend it. Cats being silly.
It has worked a bit. Our two warring cats have declared a neutral zone where they are fed and where the Feliway is. Otherwise, they have made themselves into the "outside cat" and the "indoor cat". Fair enough, except they swap every now and then, causing tension at the car flap. Need to calm a cat?
We got a kitten in November but already have a 5 Yr old cat which temporary permanently lives with us! Our 5yr old cat growls, snarls and hits the kitten but by using the plug in, the cat is nowhere near as bad. Our last plug in ran out and the cat was a lot more bad tempered. Friends at last
Have had one cat for 7yrs. Recently took on unwanted cat with aggressive attitude to me & my cat. Got friends diffuser from yourselves & plugged it in 7days ago. I walked into bedroom tonight, both cats asleep on the bed!!! Not cuddled together but one miracle at a time will do. Thrilled that they are more comfortable in each other's presence. I have 2 cats .One old and wise female cat , Willow who is in truth a sorceress She sits on the kitchem windowsill and watches over her domain with a stern look The other cat is amale 17 weeks old and as daft as a brush He , Jessy is super friendly and just wants to play with Willow but Willow wont have a bar of it .Since the introduction of Feliway Friends Willow has become more approchable and friendly towards Jessy .They are not love buddies but It's slowly working .
