This is a good item. I have it against a wall., this is the only place i can put it. The only problem so far is keeping the lid up when using it. It could do with a metal rod or something...similar to one found in a car bonnet, that type of thing would secure the lid in the open position. A slight bit of wind brings the lid crashing down which is dangerous...it has happened to me a couple of times, while I have been taking stuff out of it! Thats why I only gave it 4 stars. Arrived in good time. Relatively easy to put together with 2 people. However very flimsy and the edge of the cut metal are extremely sharp. Had to put gaffer tape around it to protect little fingers. Also gaps at bottom where wet and mice can get in. The metal bends and deforms when feed bags are put into it. Extremely disappointed. Brilliant size box, easy to put together, absolutely love it. Only downside is, its not weather proof as there are small gaps in all the corners. This is a decent product at this price point. It's pretty solid and easy enough to bolt together. Make sure you wear gloves when assembling as some of the edges are sharp. The solution to rodents, security and clutter
Having used one of these bins for a while to store bird food, it seemed the obvious choice when I needed something to protect tools and garden machinery in the garage. Lightweight and easy to assemble, this is more about getting things out of sight and away from the drips from a metal roof than the security offered by the standard hasp that takes a lightweight padlock. Excellent Storage Solution
Purchased this feed bin as a quick storage measure to prevent rodent damage.Given the price and self assembly nature of the bin I genuinely didn't expect it to be as good as it is. The panels on their own don't seem that sturdy but with the interlocking overlaps on each part it holds together very well and once assembled is very strong and well designed. I can easily store up to 400kg of meal in the bin with no trouble at at. It is very robust and 100% rodent proof - I have since purchased a second bin. What originayed as a tempoary measure to stop mice over winter is now my full time method of storing calf meal - can't fault it Make sure you wear gloves and give yourself plenty of clutter free room to assemble and if possible replace the supplied bolts with something a little more heavy dutyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
