Having never bought one of EVGA's PSU's before, I decided to go for it and I am glad I did. It so far has exhibited rock solid gaming power performance when paired with the particularly sensitive anti-surge feature on ASUS motherboards which is what I was hoping for and got with absolute glee. Our gaming PC is by no means a highly specced system with only 8GB of RAM and a Core i7 4780 CPU but the ASUS Radeon R9 280 graphics card was drawing power in surges that the EZ-Cool PSU could not cope with which triggered the anti-surge protection on the ASUS motherboard even when the feature was disabled causing the whole system to spontaneously reboot when full screen high load graphics games began to load.
I've always trusted EVGA, they're a highly reliable band and despite the short comings I've experience with regards to the fan noise level (others have had the same issue), I'm still satisfied.
