Bulb planting made easy
Bulb planting now made a great deal easier for me as the long handle means I don't have to bend as much. Being stainless steel it is robust with a good strong handle long enough to make it easy to use. As it doesn't have a soil release action (as you get with the short handled version), I was worried that soil release would be difficult. No problem, the soil just falls out if you up-end it. This is an excellent bulb planter. Sturdy and well made, beautiful wooden handle, with stainless steel serrated teeth makes it easy to use. Good quality item
Nice chunky bit of kit. I thought it might be a bit big for my 80+ year-old mum, but she coped with it fine. The business end is all stainless steel, and it's made from decent thickness material. The handle looks like it's made from decent hardwood too. Should last for years. The tapered cone starts at 70mm, and goes out to 90mm at the top. In use, it pierced the turf easily, and sunk down into the soil beneath with no problem. We paid £40 for it (incl. P&P).
