Because of static, transmitter is essentially useless.
I was very excited to utilize this Bluetooth FM Transmitter, as I read that it was one of the best on the market. However, when I plugged it into the cigarette lighter port for my truck (a 2001 Dodge Dakota) and connected my phone to it, I found the audio quality was extremely crackly (lots of static).
I figured this must have been due to the station I tuned the transmitter to, so I change the transmitter's frequency and then my car's radio to find a better frequency. Every single available (i.e. not utilized) frequency had the same problem. On even the "best" frequency, there was so much static that it was hard to make out the music coming from my phone at all.
This renders the device effectively useless, even though it's functional. I wouldn't recommend purchasing the product, and would recommend finding something that's probably more expensive (but it would at least work).
