Much better than an old mechanical time switch. Recommended.
I bought it to replace a mechanical time switch. This is a great improvement. You can set the on and off times to the minute instead of the old quarter hour segments. Also it has a built-in battery backup so if there is a power outage it doesn't lose the time. Setting is fairly easy, but the choice of days of the week could have been better designed.
