DeWalt drill and impact driver
I like both units, but my older cordless drill from De Walt has more power. I like the small size for getting into tight spaces. They are light weight and easy to handle. The batteries charge quickly.The bag is large and both units fit easily. I have a lot of De Walt tools. Powerful, lightweight with built in work light!
I had a pair of small, lightweight Makita 9.6v drill/driver. They just don't have the oomph for bigger jobs. Used a friends DeWalts putting new rafters in a garage. They are well balanced, lightweight and very powerful with long runtime even with the 2 amp/hr batteries. For really big jobs, I would pick up a 5 amp/hr battery. Love Them!
I use these tools every day at work building trailers and they have never failed me. The impact I mainly use for self tapping screws in steel and small fasteners and it is more than power full for both. The drill is only used for drilling through heavy steel and is not a slouch at all. I did have one problem with the drill though. The first day I got it I was drilling into steel with a 1/2” bit and some how the chuck locked up. I had to use a pair of channel locks to loosen it and when I did that the chuck got dented. The drill still functions fine but the chuck just doesn’t tighten and loosen as easily now. Over all though it is a great set! Both of these tools have amazing power. The drill has a work light that really helps! This is my first brushless tool and seems a little noisy but I've gotten used to it. Loving this combo
So far this combo has a touchy trigger but that's ok. This is the fastest and best light weight drills I have ever had. You must be careful of the speed it is fast and superb and they got to me fast.
