Great Pool Cleaner - Great Value
I had a Great white Pool cleaner for over 10 years. It worked flawlessly until early this year when it simply broke (it was over aged). I started looking for different models and read reviews about them. Everything seem awfully more expensive and reviews said they lasted 3-5 years. As was happy for the last 10 years with my Great White I decided to buy again. Really good price (~$300) for 10 years = $30 per year... unbeatable IMO. Can handle leaves and twigs
Many leaves and twigs in my pool, but the Great White can handle it. I use an in-line filter basket to catch all the leaves. I have owned 3 of these pool cleaners over the years, so yes, I am satisfied with the performance, but I find that the unit needs a lot of maintenance. Go ahead and order a new GW9508 vacuum skirt. replacement for my shark
After putting it is service it stopped working as designed. After calling Pentair they informed me that they didn't handle repairs directly. Just sent parts to replace broken ones. Other wise return it to distributor. They suggested taking it apart to see what was wrong. Which I did. Called them back and ordered a part. It is running fine now. Pool Cleaner
This is used in a pool under an enclosed screened lanai so it doesn't have to pick up leaves or twigs. It scrubs the pool sides and bottom well enough so that need for hand brushing is nearly eliminated! We love it so far but I'm concerned how long the rubber skirt and other wearable parts will last. cleans wonderfully
i replaced a navigator (after many years) with this cleaner. i found the great white actually cleans the pool surface better due to its incorporating a brush system into its vacuuming capabilities. it's wider and therefore cleans the pool quicker. i have a variable speed pump, and the great white still works well when the pump is on low speed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great!
This is a replacement for an older one. This one seems to work even better when climbing the walls and cleaning all other surfaces in the pool. I think all automatic pool cleaners are over priced, but this one for the money is probably the best value.
