Great unit for price
Second one I've owned. Comparison is the new model is lighter and the power head is very strong in brush mode. Outstanding unit for the price. The front pivot wheel is the same, needs upgrading. Needs rubber bumper wrap so as not to damage the canister or furniture, walls, etc. Nonskid rear wheels would also help. Just some suggestions. Altogether a great vac for the price. I would NOT buy this puppy again.
I am very disappointed in this lightweight vacuum. Stiff hose, short cord, no stair holder, cord rewind badly positioned. The manual describes a storage technique that simply does not work. Works Sufficiently
Works sufficiently. Kenmore tries to improve their products but not always user friendly. The cord rewind button is placed in a place that gets hit easily,thus your cord tries to rewind when you do not want it to. And the tools on the handle may be convenient to get to but often in the way. And for some reason it takes an extreme amount of strength to take the floor tool off, I’ve used this model before and this is not the case. A great product for a good price
This is just the vacuum I needed. I recently moved into a 2 story house and wanted a vacuum upstairs as well as downstairs. I already had a Kenmore canister that is at least 15 years old and works great, so I bought another. I hope this one lasts as long!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight, but not impressed with a couple of the attachments
I'm use to a more powerful Kenmore, but this will do as it is more lightweight. The floor brush and crevice tool are totally unacceptable, other attachments are okay. Miss the small power head for upholstery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Light weight with good suction.
The unit has good suction. It is light weight and easy to pick up and carrry when moving it from one room to another. HOWEVER, it rolls across the carpet with some resistance. Great vacuum
I bought a similar Kenmore Hepa vacuum almost 30 years ago and it just quit working a week ago so I purchased one as close to it as I could, a little smaller in size because now I live in an apartment. This little vacuum moves easily and vacuums just as good, if not better than the old one and my old one worked fantastic! The canister is lighter in weight so it’s easy to pick up and maneuver when needed. A big plus is the attachments from my old vacuum fit also so I have larger floor and upholstery parts as well as the somewhat smaller attachments that come with this one. I have dust allergies and I find this vacuum does the job really well both in picking up the dust and not making it air-born. Perfect size for smaller houses and apartments.
