had yellowed oxidised headlights used this kit exactly as instruction and headlights came up nearly as new, problem i found that the sandpapers supplied do not goto a fine enough grit level only 3000 grit,i had already got the quixx headlight kit that contained 5000 grit paper so did 1 light with the quixx kit and polishes. in my opinion the headlight done with the quixx kit was just like a brand new light where as the holts kit left the headlight slightly blurry not crystal clear like the quixx kit had done. would recommend to use the holts kit but before using the polish to use a 5000 grit paper and hand sand horizontally with loads of water to get lens a clear as possible quixx kit takes longer as it hand sand kit where as holts as a drill sanding disc

I purchased the kit in the hope that it’d save me time over restoring headlights by hand which I’ve done before. The kit is good and it did work however it still took me a long time and a lot of elbow grease, the sanding pads are fairly small and they only include enough to do each headlight once. I also found that the sealant didn’t set! I applied a thin coat, waited 24 hours and when I came to check if it had dried it was as wet as when it was first applied. I had to wipe it off again! The pad which is included to use with the plastic polish also came apart after about 1 minutes use at a moderate speed using a cordless drill.

First: make some time for it. Maybe an hour or two. No rush. Second: The outcome of your headlights is proportional to the time, care, preparation, patience and hard work. I would say it is not the perfect set as I have personally ended up sanding by hand as in this way you will be able to travel more on the headlights evenly for angle and pressure, and also that you will feel better if more wetness is required. The drill part is great for the final part with the compound. Although I have to say that a wool pad would do a better and gentler job. Make sure you use a cord powered drill as you will need good power output. Or better a dual polisher! It wasn't super smooth (ended up re sanding the passenger side again due to the sanding drill rough and being harder to control when swinging sides. All in all for £16- it was perfect for what I need and at the right level of simplicity. If you feel like the polish compound doesn't do much, try with any other compund (even mother's aluminium compound). Best of luck and strive for better results. Read full review

Not great. If I had relied on this kit alone I think I would have struggled to finish the job well. The foam pad separated from it's backing after getting soaked. The grade of wet and dry was not printed so you had to guess. Not hard to do but still. The pad was ok but quite small so not that easy to control. I found using it by hand more controllable. In the end I had wet and dry plus my own polish which made a good job with my polisher. This kit may be able to do a good job if your patient & careful but I am not convinced. You do get a reasonable amount of polish and a spray which I did not use as by that time I lost faith in the whole kit and used another product. Reasonable value for what you get but maybe not if you have to go out and buy other stuff to finish of the job properly.

FANTASTIC. I was sceptical about this product but it did a FANTASTIC job in renovating my SAAB 9-5 headlights. This product is very easy to use, very quick results Took no more than 15 minutes to get a brilliant result and very close to factory finish. I have saved myself about £200 compared to buying a new set of headlights.
