Out door Weatherproof Double socket
This 13 A 2 gang socket is good Quality it is storm proof as well being weatherproof it is well sealed you can wire it from all sides blanks easy removed the rear needs to be cut if you need to wire from rear I clear sealed all the blanks that I did not need to use makes it water tight because they push out easy good price recommend it also has neon red lights that you can see through the cover if it is On or OffVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value product
Bought this outdoor double switched socket to replace a faulty electrical outlet to run a garden water feature. I didn't really need a double socket, but the price difference between the single and double was a few pence. The socket was easy to fit and works well. Like other reviewers, I do find the latches to keep it shut rather tight to open & close, but I'm hoping these will ease with use (my wife certainly wouldn't be able to open them). These are brilliant for the price and I just fitted mine myself and it is really easy. Everything is in the kit baring the back box screws so you will need wall plugs and screws for these. I suggest a 2inch screw and number 8 wall pugs. You will get away with 1½ inch screws but I like mine to stay put. The rest of the box will fit like a glove and I did in fact drill a hole through an outside wall and the cable came through the rear of the unit. I then sealed the cable in with my glue gun and tested, it was 100% waterproof. Just as I finished connecting to the junction box inside, it began to rain here in Leicester (Come on you blues). Today 29th June 2016 has been raining pretty heavy all day and it is perfectly ok. I would definitely recommend these for outside and just make sure you drill a small hole in the bottom where it says "drainage". This is just in case any water gets through but it will not if fitted properly. The drain hole is just a fail safe and will encourage spiders and small insects to live somewhere cozy :-) It is just a 5mm hole. Cover is a tight fit but you will soon get used to it. You can use this with lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and all sorts of outdoor electrical equipment but do not exceed it's limit. Use 30amp cable and it is good for 3kw. This is and must be earthed although no earth is needed on lawn mowers and hedge trimmers of the plastic type (these only have a live and a neautral) normally an orange cable. Some people still use the old metal hedge trimmers etc but for outside power tools these must be earthed or you will have to make a call for the coroner. If you fit it yourself then make sure it is earthed. Better to be safe than sorry. It is robustly made and very well built and will last you a lifetime and for the price I think it is brilliant.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
