does not airfry at all. it is a ripoff
does not get hot enough to brown fries chips or anything else but it does warm them through. I can find no use for this product as it just does not work as advertised. for example 3 small chicken strips cooked for the recomended time and temp .defrosted and limp doubled the time to 40 mins and still not cooked properly breadcrums still soft at the time they dhould have been charcoal .in the oven they take 15 to 20 mins ie this is not an air fryer the temps listed on it are fiction.note the time i cooked the chicken does not include the warmup time i allowed ten mins .note high tem warnings on unit can be ignored as it only gets warm. from a very annoyed customer!!!!!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cooks food perfect ,and easy to clean
Forget using your expensive oven when you next want something cooked for your dinner ,chips ,steak ,chops ,fish etc.etc .,the VonShef is the answer, it even makes toast. I bought one for myself and it saves so much time and effort l bought 2 of my friends VonShefs as presents and they are overjoyed ,the last one was raving about the flavour of the sausages ,a product she had bought for years and the sausages had never tasted better. Absolutely Brilliant
So glad I found this during the UK lockdown, you can cook the way you like it, tho havnt mastered the chips but I've found half cooked wedges are cool, chicken is as crispy as you like but moist inside after a spray of olive oil, takes longer from fresh or on the bone but I've found heating food far nicer than the microwave, this one is a great size for a single person, looks great and easy to clean, again far better than a deep fat fryer, cheaper to run than an oven, Top MarksVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Peace of kit
we have a small kitchen, very little room,, and this helps a lot when cooking. Not having to put so much in the oven is great help, and the dry fryer cooks quickly and without fat and oil, for a crisp and more healthy food item, Be it chips, to chicken strips. Small and Compact and does the job.
Purchased another make of a small Air fryer in Feb which was more expensive, only used a dozen times before it started falling to bits. I was advised to try VonShef, hence this review. Delighted to see it is much more robust and well made. Have used it a few times but only for wedges/chips, cooks them really well, only negative is the smell of the appliance when heating but no doubt this will disappear in time. Needs accessories and cook chart fry time
This product being 1.5ltr is good for me as I live on my own so is good for just one person used it a few times now easy to use Couple of things I would say about the vonchef is that there was no chart to say what times you could cook your food or what different foods you could cook ,no accessories even if it's only the rack as the other accessories for other products start from 7" to 9inchs so you can't fit these into the vonchef as its only small compared to other air fryers but on the whole yes its value for moneyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
