Excellent size and will store a proper car key
We'll have bought several magnetic key boxes, but this is the first one that will actually take a key with remote bit on, have bought the 'large' boxes and you cannot close the box as they are no where near big enough. This one was a little expensive I think, costing around the £10 mark, it is made of plastic, it shuts all ok and is sturdy, though when opening I'm weary of breaking the clip on opening the box, so hopefully it don't break in the future, which would make me rate this more of a 1 or 2 star. So at the moment I am happy with it, the magnet is reasonably strong so hopefully won't fall off if fitted under a sil of a car, or wheel arch, especially when going over a hump!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Effective product but too small for some car keys.
I bought this item so that I could safely hide my car key underneath the car while I go open-water swimming. Some reviewers have mentioned they find the item difficult to open. I concur that it does require a strong push to open, but the benefit of that is that it won't open accidentally by itself! For me, the one drawback of the item is that it's not going to be big enough to hold certain car keys. Based on my experience, I can confirm that it is NOT large enough to close when a Peugeot key is inside; however, it IS large enough to close when a Mercedes key is inside.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Needed a magnetic box big enough to hold the larger car keys they have these days as well as a few quid emergency money. All fits in nicely and holds like glue under the car. Needs a better way to open it.
The box is a great idea, the magnet in it is really strong, the only problem is it is really difficult to slide the lid open, so my hubby screwed a screw into the lid, so we can now slide it open easier.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
