Amazing product
I know it sounds cliche' but this sharpening system is actually what chainsaw sharpeners should have always been. With a mere three strokes on each tooth, the two files simultaneously file the tooth and the rider guide . I was trained by Stihl to flat file the rider guide each time you file the tooth so it clears a path for the tooth to cut wood. The Stihl file holder tool does just that. As well as being able to flip it over to do the same to the right facing teeth as you just did the left facing teeth. The holder has a very easy to operate cam-style locking cover making it quite simple to change the three files, (However I've used mine a lot and it has yet to even suggest the need to change them). Anybody who can operate a saw can keep it cutting like a laser with this product and for the $50.00 price range you'll save on sharpening fees and chain life.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product for the price!
This sharpening tool is a good quality build compared to the "real thing". Files are easy to change and good quality also. Only bad thing I've noticed so far, is one of the latches on the handle doesn't securely fasten and tends to open while filing. I sharpen the chain while resting the saw on a stump or the bed of the truck and need one hand to hold the saw steady. Not a deal breaker, if you sharpen in a vise, this will not affect you if you use two hands to hold the file.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job_good value for the price
