Not identical specs - does not fit - knocks. C5 Allroad 2005
Installed recently (bought last December) to bitterly find out that it fits in place, but produces metallic knocks while the suspension is traveling up and down. Googled and found others with similar problem, due to specification misdemeanors. At the top end, the crater where the absorber shaft sits and secures, is 3mm deeper than the original. Also the hole through which the absorber shaft enters the crater to be bolted, is wider than the original. The shaft has space to move and knocks as the suspension travels. (see photos attached).
