Cutting edge quality
Check out You Tube and elsewhere and the message is the same - the Proxxon hot wire cutter is the kiddie and best bang for the buck. Get some Shiftinglands accessories for it (like the 2.0 rip fence and the circle cutter and the Proxxon’s capabilities increase ten fold. Take a look at the Shiftinglands reviews on You Tube. All in all, 100% happy to have bought the Proxxon that now sits by my mini drill and power adapter from the same manufacturer - they really do make superb tools. Excellent: buy with total confidence.

Woulds get a 10 if not for the fence !
Top rate item, the only thing that I can find fault with is the fence, this moves upwards at the end. However this appears to be a common complaint and easily rectified with an after market MDF fence. Takes a little getting used to, but when you have mastered the speed its great.

Super cutter for Styrofoam and Polystyrene. As used by all serious model makers.
Superb cutter, as used by most professional modellers. Takes a little practice to get the wire temperature right for the material you are using, but once you know what you're doing this is perfect. Came very speedily from Germany to the UK, very well packed. I would definitely recommend the seller as well as this cutter.
