Quitting smoking with the RUGBY patch
I called NEW YORK STATE QUITS and they sent the first two weeks of patches. I set a date (sort of - I knew that I wanted to quit before I was 50, just turned 49 and bells went off - to top it off my 4 year old grandson said nana's breath stinks ((I smoked OUTSIDE, brushed by teeth, mouthwash and gum....)). That was the end of my pleasure smoking and I have NEVER looked back.) My daughter (deaf, single mother of that four year old child) informed me that she was pregnant again. My first thought was to smoke and give up, my second thought was what my grandson had said and my third thought was WHY PUNISH MYSELF!! (all in 5 seconds lol). If you are ready, this is a WONDERFUL tool. I am on the 7th week now and have missed the patch from time to time and it doesn't bother me at all. I have tried acupuncture, cold turkey, patches - others and immediately went back to smoking. Oh, by the way, my husband and I quit together and we're both still alive lolololol.. It has to be your time to quit and I think it's easier. I had a goal and this is the tool that worked and changed my life. WHOOOOOO, I forgot to explain WHY I purchased here. OK, so NYS offers the first two weeks and then you have to see your own dr. I don't have a dr - rarely sick and when I am, I see the ER. So, when things were going great with the patch and I called back to NYS QUITS, they stated that I needed to see my own dr., I called around and would need to go through full exam, couldn't be seen for a while, blah blah. Have to use tape to keep them on. Their version of glue is about worthless. Once taped on seemed to work as well as all the others out there, but that peeling off and adding tape is a PIA and just not worth the trouble and extra glue stuck to your skin.Verified purchase: Yes

Works as well as any of the other brands
It helps to clean the area with alcohol, apply the patch, hit it with a blow dryer for about 8-10 seconds and then press hard! Just as good as the name brand
Okay, to all the people who have trouble with it staying on, it's a good idea to press it in for at least 15 seconds. I've never had a problem with it falling off. I use the patches to curb my smoking for extended times when I can't smoke. They work just fine and are much cheaper than the name brand. I've used both and I cannot see any difference at all. Disappointed
I was super excited to try these patches after reading the reviews but ended up highly dissatisfied! They did nothing to curb my smoking and I didn't even get that "Queasy" feeling from smoking with the patch on (which you are not supposed to do). Patches are ok but theres a downside
These patches help the nicotine craving. The downside is the patches don't stay on they fall off. What Had to do is put surgical tape to hold the patches on.
