A Great Item and Great Service
A perfect almost straight like-for-like replacement. The only difference is that the original digit colour was almost amber whereas the replacement is white. It is bright and VERY easy to read. The original screen had become so dim that you couldn't read it at all. Having researched new radios I ended up concluding that I wanted to keep the one I had. A little research came up with this replacement display. Upon ordering I was contacted to ensure which model radio I was updating so that I could be sent step by step instructions with these and the display arriving 3 days later. Excellent service. The actual replacement was very simple once you removed ALL the screws necessary and the instructions were largely accurate with good hints and tips. Good replacement product. Not easy to fit.
Apparently some PURE DAB radios suffer from screen failure after a few years and this product is a maintenance replacement for certain models. Good thing is that it works and so prolongs the life of a valuable radio. Downside is that the display is white whereas the original was yellow and so less bright at night, and also it is difficult to fit. When fitting, soldering is not necessary but many screws and small plugs must be removed to access the space where the screen is fitted. And plugging in the replacement screen ribbon cable is also a delicate operation. And obviously reassembly of the radio takes a while.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Identical to OEM display and fairly straightforward to fit
The display I received for my Pure Evoke D4 DAB radio was identical to the OEM component including part numbers. As other reviewers have mentioned replacement requires considerable disassembly, however Pure radios are quite well-designed and everything is held together with screws. There are no glued items to prise apart - just multiple fiddly small screws and a few ribbon connectors. Both front knobs have to be pulled off (they're quite firmly attached) exposing two nuts that must be undone to release the pcb. The display's ribbon cable is very fragile and great care must be taken to release a tiny clip securing it to an equally tiny socket on the pcb - the clip doesn't come off completely but moves back 2mm or so. After reassembly the display and radio worked perfectly. I have adjusted the display settings in the menu so that it automatically turns off after a short delay when the radio is 'On' and is always off in 'Standby'. This is important because the expected life of these OLED displays is only 80,000 hours (10 years) at best and less than 7 years in my case which is a shame because the D4 is a neat little radio with excellent sound quality and useful alarm functions. This replacement display is relatively good value for a DIYer with no labour costs because the D4 was quite expensive when new (I paid £130) and similar used radios sell for around £40 on eBay. I'm very pleased the spare part is available on eBay because Pure offer no spares support and a perfectly good (and expensive) radio would otherwise have to be scrapped with consequent environmental penalty.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent product to keep the radio usable!
There are known issues with display failures in the Evoke 1s and probably other similar models, but this is a cheap way to give the radio many more years of use. The product was well-packaged, but be aware it will take some time to install. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are a lot of screws to remove - luckily most are the same type but it is still straightforward to do. The fiddly bit is actually inserting the cable of the display unit into the connector - a small black clamp needs to be pulled out first. The cable does have 2 small holes, so I used some small pins to help guide the cable properly into the slot, then reset the clamp - then all was well! The radio is now working well again, so my father-in-law will be pleased!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

New lease of life for an alarm clock radio.
I tend to have low expectations so anything that performs to description is good. The display is clear and bright, so bright that the ability to turn it down is a very useful feature of the radio. A cheap repair for an expensive radio.

Excellent Replacement Display
Excellent product which is a least as good as the original radio manufacturers part. Once fitted into the PURE Evoke 1S the radio worked as new. Perfect display
My evoke 1s original display was getting dim and some pixels were dead. After some research and taking the radio apart to see how hard it might be to repair i purchased the replacement oled display. Fitting is a bit fiddly to get the ribbon fitted in but achievable. i used tweezers. I am Very pleased with the new display very clear and bright.
