Very effective!
Have only used it twice so far, both times on the minimal scarifying depth of 3mm. 1st scarify generated an huge amount of thatch/moss. Yes, the basket is totally useless with that quantity. 2nd time still plenty of thatch/moss removed but not the enormous quantity generated 2-3 weeks earlier. The basket works better when it's that quantity. I haven't gone any lower with the scarifying blades as it's bone dry here in the south east and the ground is like rock and I don't want to stress the lawn out any more than it is at present.
