  • Actually very good.

Bought as an improvement over rubbish onboard sound. I'm used to internal soundcards (ask your parents to explain), but the combination of Windows 11 and the shiny new motherboard means there is usually no suitable slot and they probably wouldn't work with W11... Tried this as a cheapo add-on. I'm not interested in the gaming bells and whistles. Just looking for something that plays music decently, and at a volume higher than a mouse with a toy piano 500 yards away. No expectations, as the thing is tiny and looks like nothing. However, once you download the Creative Command software, it does sound absolutely spot-on. Brain damage volume*, and the graphic Equaliser allows you to ruin the sound very effectively. Highly recommended. It handles all kinds of music genuinely well. Gamers and microphone users might like it too, but I haven't tried those features. *Through 32 Ohm Grado SR80s, which admittedly don't require much power to go loud
