Mainly a visual deterrent.
A bought this mainly as a visual deterrent rather than for its actual security robustness. Its hi-viz colour shouts that it’s fitted to the wheel. The key lock itself seems a fairly cheap item so I wouldn’t expect it to defeat a thief for longer than 30 seconds. Disc locks in general are easily defeated by the serious thief so additional measures are a must anyway.
