Good Value Efficient Shower
Bought this to fit to a conventional bath as a deck mount tap and shower system. It replaces an 8.5kW electric shower and is a much better option, albeit less green in using my combi gas boiler to heat the water. It works out cheaper to run and has a constant flow rate rather than dropping flow as you set the temperature higher. Head gives a good range of spray patterns and flows more water than teh old electric shower. Recommended.

The ultimate Low Pressure bath/shower mixer
I have used Mira "magna flow" products before on low pressure (0.7bar) gravity systems and found the performance to be stunning. I bought this Atom bath filler/shower mixer for use one floor above the previous installation, ie on an even lower pressure. Again I can only say that the performance is just amazing. The flow through the mixer valve gives ample water for the shower and the design of the spray head really does give good coverage. The reaction of the thermostatic element is very quick if another tap is opened on the hot or cold supply, preventing nasty surprises for anyone showering. Flow through the bath outlet is good and a bath can be run quickly with the over ride button providing water that is more than hot enough. I researched a lot of makes before my original purchase and although other manufacturers state "suitable for low pressure systems" I didn't find anyone who guarantees full performance down to 0.1 bar as Mira do. Whilst the price may seem high, I can assure any prospective purchasers that it is well worth paying for a quality product such as this, especially if you are installing on a tank-fed supply.
