The original hair hoppers.
John Waters original version of Hairspray is so much funnier than the remake. Waters was given a 2 million dollar budget and spent 1 million of it on song rights so the film benefits from a good sound system. This was Divines last film and she was showing so much promise as an actor by the time this film was made. I've always loved this little gem of a movie and if you like films that are simply fun I'd highly recommend this version of Hairspray.
