Gerald Alston, Winnie Lovett, Ernest Bivens and Kenny Kelly made a career of recording romance, heartache and make-out tunes. The popular "We Never Danced to a Love Song" fits in well with their other ballads, as does the majestic "It Just Can't Stay this Way" and "Let's Start All Over Again.".

NotesDigitally re-mastered and expanded edition of this 1976 album from the Soul group. In 1975, the group topped the US Pop and R&B charts with their now-classic 'Kiss And Say Goodbye.' (not included here). with the departure of original member Ricky Taylor, the quartet of Gerald Alston, Blue Lovett, Sonny Bivins and Wally Kelley returned to the recording studios in 1976 with renowned Philadelphia producer/arranger/musician and songwriter Bobby Martin to cut their fourth Columbia album, IT FEELS SO GOOD. The LP became The Manhattans' second gold album, buoyed by the success of 'I Kinda Miss You', the title track and 'We Never Danced to a Love Song,' another Top 10 R&B hit. This 2014 expanded edition marks the first CD reissue of the LP worldwide and includes three single edits alongside the non-album 'B' side, 'Gypsy Man' and liner notes by US writer Matt Bauer with quotes from album co-producer/Columbia executive Mickey Eichner and group members Gerald Alston, Sonny Bivins and Blue Lovett.
