A supposed sequel to Lucio Fulci's legendary ZOMBIE (aka ZOMBI 2 or ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS), there is actually no relation between ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS 2 and its alleged predecessor. Though Fulci is given full directorial credit, he dropped out of the project fairly early and was replaced by Bruno Mattei, who previously made the outrageous HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD. Here, a trio of soldiers on leave are soaking up the rays on an idyllic island when a nearby scientific team tests a serum designed to bring the dead back to life. Of course, the serum turns these corpses into flesh-eating zombies with a penchant for bad dialogue, feeding on buxom women, and behaving rather stupidly. So mind-bendingly awful that it's downright hilarious, ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS 2 is incredibly entertaining.

Not as good as Fulci's other films I've seen such as Zombi 2 , city of the living dead (aka Gates of hell) and the beyond. Did like the soundtrack. You can listen to it on youtube and the first ten minutes are quite good. I believe Zombi 2 was supposed to be an unofficial sequel to dawn of the dead, which in italy is known as zombi i think, or it could just be inspired by Dawn of the Dead, not sure. Zombi 3 was inspired by return of the living Dead. The zombis in both films move much faster than in Dawn and Fulci's other films mentioned above. The soundtracks of both films are similar too. Overall its not that good. Cant recommend spending 8-9 pounds on the bluray. Too bad its not on youtube or dailymotion or some other website, cause it would of saved me some money
