    Good quality DVD release of a classic film

    This DVD surpasses anything I have seen before. The film looks to have been remastered and cleaned up because the image quality is, for a DVD, excellent. The film is considered to be a classic of its time in which a bored wife, together with an opportunist itinerant drifter, conspire to murder the husband and run off together. Lana Turner in her first starring role and John Garfield as the drifter give standout performances as the love struck protagonists. The only letdown was the rather bland, somewhat religiously moralistic ending which did not fit in with the rest of the film.

    Love this film two great actors there’s about 4 versions of this film but this Is my personal favorite John Garfield died really young in his thirties but made a lot of great films & Lana Turner was a real beauty .
