It was more like torture than enjoyable. The acting was pathetic and so false. The words and language was used with no real meaning and seemed to be just said because they had too. Never got into the play and to be honest was glad when it did end. Definitely would not buy any other BBC shakespeare plays after that experience. If you want to see an enjoyable version of Hamlet(and I have watched several different versions now by numerous different actors)I actually recommend the one with Mel Gibson.I never thought I would say this, but amazingly he really does play the part fantastically well and the language and quality of acting is far superior to that of the BBC version. The BBC version of Hamlet is disappointing and one that could put you off watching other shakespeare plays.
