2004 remake of 1978 TV series
In this 2004 remake of the original 1978 TV series, the Cylons have evolved from being purely robots to exactly resemble humans. In the original series, they were just very intelligent robots. In this version, they are played as humans, presumably to save on the cost of the costumes! This DVD contains a set of episodes that play as one continuous film which sets the stage for the subsequent 2010 series set of 25 disks that you have to order separately. The plot is basically the same as the original series. The humans are devastated by a surprise attack from the Cylons who drive them from their planet, Caprica.
