The Creeping Flesh (DVD, 2004)

About this product

Product Information

A British scientist (Peter Cushing) returns from an expedition to New Guinea, where he discovered the skeleton of a creature he believes to be an ancient and supremely evil being. When he discovers that water on the bones causes flesh to begin growing on the creature, he uses the tissue to create a serum that he hopes will prevent his daughter from succumbing to the same madness that consumed his late wife. But when the scientist's brother (Christopher Lee), who runs an insane asylum, steals the skeleton for his own research, it becomes very apparent that the creature's remains should have been left alone.

  • Good old horror movie!

If you enjoy Horror movies that don't involve slashers or maniacs and isn't drenched in buckets of blood, but rely on interesting characters, moral dilemmas, and atmosphere this is worth the view. Made in the early 1970s it has to be one of the last times that Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee pair up again on screen. Similar to "Horror Express" in many ways it uses the formula of man vs science vs morality which was popular in many classic horror films. If you like movies from this era and one that hasn't been played to death on TV over the years, this might be for you. A great addition to anyone's movie collection.
