And it'll be Halloween Night forever
I've been a Cartoon Network kid for a long time and one of my favorite specials to watch was the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy Halloween special "Jacked Up Halloween", where Jack (played by Wayne Knight) gets revenge to Endsville and Grim for his current predicament after he got a hand of Grim's scythe thanks to Billy. And while the episode has been released digitally, I wanted to get a physical DVD that has the episode. The only two DVDs Warner Bros released were the first season of Billy and Mandy and this DVD. I didn't want to get the season 1 boxset as it's only the first season and would've like to get the other seasons, which is very unlikely as WB doesn't give their shows proper treatment (the prices are another reason, but that's not counting if you have a lot of spending money). Plus because I live in a household that doesn't like morbid stuff, that was out of the line. So the other way was this DVD. The DVD was released in 2004 and starts out with the Jack episode as I mentioned before, but also other episodes from other cartoons. I bought it around 2018 after doing some online gigs The only issue I have is the range of episodes. Some of them like the Courage episodes I can let it slide as that show was very dark and the Johnny Bravo/Scooby-Doo crossover as Scooby-Doo is about people catching people in costumes, but the issue is that some aren't really either Halloween or scary related. I think it would've worked better if they picked out better episodes from the catalog they had at the time. And I know there's some shows that either didn't aired yet or didn't had a Halloween episode by the time the DVD came out, but still, a better selection of episodes would've been nice. I heard that they did more DVDs like this later on with other shows, so they're learned their lesson by this point. So if want to obtain this certain episode of Billy and Mandy because you're a fan of Jack O' Lantern (like me), or just want a collection of Cartoon Network episodes to show off your kids on what the network was like during the first 10 years, then this is a good start.
