Don't be fooled by the cheap and nasty knock off look, the fact it's on the Prism label or even the totally misleading (wrong except for the tracklisting) Muse database info above. Read the declaration on the back cover about 'alternative versions'. That's not remixed overdubbed augmented atrocities, that means different recordings. Essentially it's some tracks from 'Electric Warrior Sessions' (including a much better sounding BBC recording of 'Get it On' in mono with the extra verse), some from the KDAY solo acoustic radio session released as 'Spaceball' on CD and as 'Till Dawn' LP. There are two unique and standout tracks, the hyper rare (on CD) edit of 'Hot Love' made by Warner Reprise for the US market only and the even rarer mono version of 'Ride A White Swan' which is ever so ever so slightly different from the stereo mix and not just a foldover. Why we needed a mono mix is not explained at all in the quick and dirty inaccurate notes but then not much else is either. Importantly these are great performances and the whole thing sounds excellent. Recommended.Read full review
