During the latter punk years apart from Motorhead, The Cult were probably the only other band refusing to cut their hair and continued to knock out some belters which were destined to be future classics. This album represents an exciting time when new surge of British rock/metal was making a real comeback. The likes of Def Leopard, Saxon, Lemmy and the boys, Judas Priest etc. The Cult were amongst these stalworts, getting in on the action with their own unique brand of driven yet melodic origional material. This album "Love" was their real breakthrough and paved the way for their even better release "electric" which followed in a similar vein. Great stuff this... Cheers. CJS.
