Reviews"...Brand Nubian covers a wide spectrum of ideas on this CD....they do the requisite boasting before turning to more serious subjects like black-on-black crime....This is a solid record from a very good group.", 4 Stars - Slammin' - "...wrestles with, and elevates the form of...'gangsta rap'...offers songs for freestyle fanatics and philosophers, insuring that hip-hop listeners receive what they need, and not just what they want, to hear...another breathtaking achievement...", 4 Stars - Slammin' - "...wrestles with, and elevates the form of...`gangsta rap'....offers songs for freestyle fanatics and philosophers, insuring that hip-hop listeners receive what they need, and not just what they want, to hear...another breathtaking achievement...", 3 Stars - Good - "...Brand Nubian have maintained a balance in their music between inflammatory polemic and good grooves....The album's mood swings between controlled anger and saddened lament."
Classic Brand Nubian album. Not as good as their first or second album but still pretty solid. Sadat X, Lord Jamar and DJ Sincere (Even though Sadat, Jamar, Puba and Alamo are the original team) brings us a pretty nice hip hop album. This same 1994 team made In God We Trust which is if you ask me just as dope as Brand Nubians first album.
