    Put a Beat in the White House

    The tossed off comments alone in the song "The Beat Generation" are reason enough for anyone interested in the Beat movement to purchase this set. Sung, by the way by poet Rod Mckuen. Besides Kerouac reading his work there are also tracks from Ken Nordine (Word Jazz) Charlie Parker, Alan Ginsberg and even Perry Como. It's a rich history and loaded with a unique sense of Beat humor. This is the second time I made purchase of this box set because my son happened to walk off with the first one I bought.
