SWAT 4 is a 3D action game that puts players in command of a squad of special weapons and tactics police, and challenges them to solve tense, dangerous situations with discretion and responsibility befitting an elite officer of the law. The game's selection of authentically designed weapons includes several non-lethal choices, such as tear gas and flashbang grenades; as in real life, the ultimate goal of the police team is not to maim or kill the suspects, but to apprehend them before they can cause any harm to innocent bystanders (or themselves). Each time a level is played, the computer places criminal suspects and potential civilian hostages randomly around the map, so missions pose new dangers and solutions each time they are attempted. VU Games' Sierra-brand SWAT series began on home computers, but moved to consoles with the 2003 release of SWAT: Global Strike Team. The series returns to PC with SWAT 4, which was developed by Irrational Games, a studio known for its refined craftsmanship of earlier sequels such as Tribes: Vengeance and System Shock 2.Product Identifiers

One of the email best games ever! !!
I love this game and the expansion makes it even better if you plan to purchase it... never a dull moment in this game... make sure to but seat 4 and swat 4 the stechkov syndicate... it works on windows 10 and game play has a great AI ... The ability to control multiple squads and a sniper make it as realistic as possible.... it's great when you replay a mission and even on easy you and die with one bullet which makes it amazing to know you have all of the options available to accomplish each mission with a vast variety of guns, non lethal weapons and then gadgets to use ... I recommend this game and I hope everyone grabs it while you can but shop around or wait because some morons like to put the gold edition which has swat 4 and the expansion in one box; for am insane price from 75 to 100 dollars... which no game is worth that kind of cheddar.... I hope this review helps anyone interested in buying this game... just remember the expansion won't work unless you have the original swat 4 which is 2 disc's and the expansion is 1 disc... thanks all !!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Region-free is useful. Would like to see a larger range of scenarios. A fun way for an older player to resist the onset of Alzheimer's. It improves hand/eye co-ordination and sharpens the reflexes.
