I bought this for my adult son, & he absolutely loves it, as it brought back so many great memories, when he used to watch this as a young lad!

This is tagged classic is a great buy. These are 2 of the best KOTR's WWE has produced. The memories fly back to your head once you watched this. The only thing is, these DVD's have no special features. KOTR '93 Bret Hart vs Razor Ramon: a fantastic opening match. I just wish it could have gone a little longer. Very methodical yet fast paced 8/10 Mr Perfect vs Mr Hughes: a worthless bout considering that Mr Perfect, a fabulous technician is in here. Perfect at least, trys his best 5/10 Bam Bam Bigelow vs Jim Duggan: abosolutely rotten. The less said about this match, the better. At least Duggan loses 3/10 Lex Luxer vs Tatanka: a very slowly paced match that justs picks up in the final 4 minutes. It also has a dissapointing finish 5/10 Mr Perfect vs Bret Hart: scorching match. An instant classic and is given plenty of time 10/10 Yokozuna vs Hulk Hogan WWF Title: rubbish, but has that memorable ending. I hate Hogan and was glad to see him lose 5.5/10 The Steiners and Smoking Gunns vs Money Inc. and The Headshrinkers: very boring. At least it was kept short 4/10 Crush vs Shawn Michaels IC Title: a suprisingly good match. It's given a fair amount of time and succeeds 7/10 Bam Bam Bigelow vs Bret Hart: a decent match but is very long and fails to keep my interest though 6/10 KOTR 94 Bam Bam Bigelow vs Razor Ramon: a fun opener, which is fast paced and has a cool finish 6.5/10 I.R.S vs Mabel: boring. Mabel clearly botches the ending. Irwin tries his best but fails 4/10 Owen Hart vs Tatanka: wow. Owen rules and deserved the tournament victory. Tatanka also put a good showing on. I like the finishing sequence 7/10 1-2-3 Kid vs Jeff Jarrett: a great match. Very fast paced and high-impact moves here and there. It's a shame these 2 now suck 7/10 Bret Hart vs Diesel WWF Title: one of Diesel's better matches. Hart achieves to keep viewers glued in this excellent but long war 8/10 Razor Ramon vs I.R.S: a quick match. very basic moves 5/10 Owen Hart vs 1-2-3 Kid: short but sweet. Blinding matchup with aerial and technichal moves 7.5/10 Yokozuna and Crush vs The Headshrinkers TT Titles: terrible. Yokozuna just legdrops like crazy. Plain dull 4/10 Razor Ramon vs Owen Hart: you can imagine that both men would be tired, so they stick to a good wrestling match. Obviously it was short 7/10 Jerry Lawler vs Roddy Piper: who booked this rubbish. A very poor end to such a great event. Way too long and little impactful moves and a sudden and rotten finish 4/10 Overall, these 2 events would get a combined 8/10. The Harts put on great showings.Read full review
SPOILERS! I remember watching this the first time round - I enjoyed the tourney more this time. I was always intriqued at the WWF special events like the Royal Rumble and Survivor series, so when the King of the Ring came around on television for the first time(it had been going since 1985 but never televised), I was really excited. Of the nine matches on the card there are only 4 worth a mention but 2 of those are real classics. Bret Hart is the Man of the Card and his scrap with Mr Perfect is superb - I prefer it to their Summerslam Intercontinental match. What's most interesting about this match is that both Hart and Hennig are faces(good guys) - you didn't see faces wrestle each other match in those days. All 3 Hart matches are great - his Hennig bout the best, closely followed by his Bam Bam Bigelow one and then Razor. The other match of interest is surprisingly the Crush/Shawn Michaels encounter. Very well worked and could have gone either way. The rest of the tourney is quite blah with the possible exception of the result(not the actual match) of Bam Bams pinfall win over Jim Duggan - Hacksaw didn't lose much on TV back then. Tatanka/Luger - boring. Perfect/Hughes - I don't understand why Perfect didn't get a pinfall victory? Rest of card is also average, again with the possible exception of the result of the Hogan/Yokozuna match. 8 man tag with Steiners/Smoking Gunns V Money Inc/Headshrinkers - complete waste of time. Looking back, it is also quite sad to realise a lot of wrestlers at this PPV have passed on - Mr Perfect, Bam Bam, Yokozuna, Crush. KOTR 1994, whilst having a worthy winner, only has one good match and that's Bret Hart Vs Diesel - and that's even with it's bad finish. The Tourney seems to be rushed, with the only good matches featuring Owen Hart. A lot of messed spots throughout. The main event of Roddy Piper and Jerry Lawler is abysmal and the highlight of the Headshrinkers Vs Crush/Yokozuna is Lex Luger coming out in a leotard. This DVD is definitely worthwhile for the 1993 event. I'd only pay around a fiver for this.Read full review
Before the WWF became the WWE there were actually some people working for them who knew how to wrestle! Best of all were Bret and the late Owen Hart who feature strongly in both these events. Forget the current over hyped nonsense and travel back to a time before WWE became the Triple H show
