Watching the extras we find out that this story should have been an episode longer and boy does it show. I have rewatched it twice recently and am no closer to understanding what it is about (the writer even admits in the extras that elements were not explained sufficiently). The extra episode would have helped and perhaps reading the book would have been a better bet. Many fans put this story in their top ten ever, but I am totally bemused by that, for the reasons above. For me it is a bottom 20 story and a wasted opportunity.

Not very good. The story is OK, but McCoy just does not work as the Doc, too eccentric and manic. And Aldridge is terrible, she just cannot act. Even by the standards of companions she is wooden. It might have worked with Baker (T) or maybe Pat (Och Dr that Wee monkey man).

Great episode. I hadn’t watched it in a few years, so it was good to see it again. And it had an interesting plotline. Think it’s one of my favourite Dr Who episodes

This is yet another way of trying to recapture memories that I have lost, also I have followed DR WHO as much as I can over the years.
Very good value for money. Nostalgic entertainment.
