Featuring the first two seasons from the 70's television series which follows the fortunes of wealthy oil family in Texas who have a long standing feud with a rival family called Barnes. Larry Hagman stars as J.R. Ewing married to Sue Ellen, an alcoholic who is desperately looking for love from her husband, brother Bobby Ewing and his wife Pam, the daughter from the rival family. Jock and Ellie head up the family and attempt to have some control over their wayward teenage daughter Lucy.

80´s Biggest TV-show.
All seasons of "War of the Ewings" are still watchable, that´s for sure. In my lifetime I´ve re-visited the show on DVD a couple of times since the first time it was on Swedish saturday night TV (1981-93, I think), wich means it was a three year delay back then compared to US prime time. Up to seasons four or five it´s a master classic, then flats out a bit and got stalled, but I still enjoy the whole package once a decade or so.... Great acting, great locations and a whole lot of intrigue!! 85% on a 100.

It was all a dream!
Purchased this as birthday present for someone who turned 40 this year! Yes, "Dallas" is that old! It was a great reminder of the days when it was all shoulder pads and it was acceptable to cowboy boots with a suit!
