  • Foghorn Leghorn and Friends (1988) VHS Review

Foghorn Leghorn, I say, Foghorn Leghorn is one my my favorite Looney Tunes characters! Pay attention I say pay attention son!, this video cassette features the loud mouthed rooster in one of his early cartoons alongside Sylvester, Henery Hawk, and Barnyard Dawg. Crowing Pains (1947) Plus 3 other cartoons of the golden age, including a classic Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoon Sioux Me (1939). Although the Indian stereotypes in this cartoon are wrong and offensive in today’s standards, these classics were made when America and society was still radically evolving, and these classic pieces of film history should still be preserved for educational and historical purposes. Other two cartoons featured on here are two classics from Fleischer Studios and Paramount Pictures. A Car-Tune Portrait (1937) and An Elephant Never Forgets (1934) from Pioneer animator and producer Max Fleischer, and directed his brother Dave. Would totally recommend this to friends and family. It’s a blast, I say it’s a blast son! Entertaining that is! 10/10.
