Steppenwolf Debut - A Recording worth a listen over and over and over again.
This Debut recording contains so many great tracks and is to diverse at the same time. Because it was and is still thought of as a "Party Styled Recording" it is quite difficult to find an original vinyl copy in any kind of decent shape without spending lots of cash for it. This CD comes as close as you are going to get to that vinyl. Steppenwolf recordings were all over the map in style and songwriting. But one thing you could be sure of was the "sound" of the recordings were always interesting. They boast as being the second band I ever saw "live". Mountain being the first band. This recording takes the chances and brings it home. If you don't know them, you should.
