In this Hammer production set during the Roman occupation of England, Salina, a faithful Briton, assumes reign over her father's kingdom hoping to carry on his wishes to maintain a peaceful kingdom. When the Romans become tyrannical she leads her tribe in a sweeping attack against them. Though a costume epic, this 1966 film features plenty of Hammer touches including creative torture methods, chariots with blade covered wheels, and beautiful Irish locales.

Engaging, entertaining and a surprising find at the movies!
An extremely engaging story and an early starring role for Don Murray. Plus, the presentation is in widescreen! You cannot do better than that. Rome versus the Druids with a love story mixed in for additional excitement. Truly an entertaining film that was definitely not played enough on television or in the movie theatres.
