A movie that was true to the Broadway show it was based on
After recently having seen the 1967 movie for the first time, I enjoyed it immensely and soon found bargains for all 4 soundtracks on CD. As a fan of actress Michele Lee, this movie and soundtrack are both rare venues to hear her wonderful singing voice.
The soundtracks to the 3 stage versions are each good in their own way, but of those, I think the 2011 revival that starred Daniel Radcliffe is the least spirited -- sorry, Daniel, I don't think that singing is your best talent. The lyrics of the original 1961 Broadway musical are not tampered with drastically in any of the later renditions.
THIS IS THE SOUNDTRACK TO THE FILM HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING STARRING ROBERT MORSE AND ACTRESS MICHELLE LEE. IT CONTAINS ALL THE GREAT MUSIC AND SONGS FROM THE FILM. ROBERT MORSE IS A PRETTY FORMIDABLE SINGER BUT THE REAL SURPRISE HERE IS MICHELLE LEE WHO HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND CAN DELIVER A SONG AS GOOD AS ANY SEASONED PRO. HER VOICE IN I BELIEVE IN YOU SOUNDS LIKE A YOUNG BARBRA STREISAND. THIS FILM IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW A BROADWAY SHOW SHOULD BE MADE INTO A FILM. WITH THE ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST. BUY THIS CD AND YOU WILL BE VERY ENTERTAINED.
