Product Information
A much-planned two-family vacation to Rio begins with disaster as one husband, Victor (Joseph Bologna), deals with divorce papers while Matthew's (Michael Caine) wife decides to vacation alone somewhere else instead, leaving the two men on vacation with only their charming and adventurous teenage daughters. Confronted by so much bare young skin, confused about the state of his marriage, and swept up in the moment, Matthew lets Victor's daughter, Jennifer (Michelle Johnson), seduce him on the beach. But Jennifer's constant declarations of love and lust make keeping the affair from Victor difficult and twists Matthew into guilty knots. The surprise appearance of Matthew's wife (Valerie Harper, magnificent in a rage) reveals another hidden affair and unravels the romantic web crisscrossing between the families.
This is like the movie "Class" with a vice versa twist with elements of the movie about 2 male friends & their daughters on a trip to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) where one of the friends becomes an object of sensual desire by his friend's daughter & the whole thing gets out of hand not to mention keeping his friend from finding out about the whole situation & especially his wife.
I thought this was a very light hearted and funny movie. It delves into mid life crisis, on both parents, and has some surprising twist. I'd recommend. Tony
The film is dated - doubt it would be made today, given the topic, still it features truly funny performances by Michael Caine and Joseph Bologna. It was a nice bit of comedy nostalgia to revisit it after a long passage of years. It is a great title when you are quarantined.
Easy to blame the lapse in judgement on such incredible surroundings
Great 80's movie! Hadn't seen it in many years, glad I bought it, fun, funny movie to watch, beautiful settings, locations and girls, Michelle is so comfortable in her part, being an older guy the scenario is totally believable, such a beautiful woman would be nearly impossible to resist, Demi Moore plays a good part being a young woman radiating her natural pre-augmentation beauty, just a fun movie to watch, I can throw it in and enjoy it anytime.
Great movie featuring one of my favorite actors (Michael Caine), and Micelle Johnson certainly adds something to spike one's interest, beautiful scenery.
