This film, based on the suspense novel by Dean Koontz stars Jay Mohr as an overworked screenwriter looking for relaxation and a little inspiration in the small town of Black River. At first he does just fine while also romancing a beautiful architect. Soon enough, however, he becomes involved in an intricate plot that keeps him from returning home and opens his eyes to what this small town really has to offer its tourists.

I'm sure was not movie of the year.
I'm a koontz fan--but-- this was not a high dollar production. It had its moments and I did like the main character. I probably would not buy again.

this movie reminds me of an old episode of the Twilight Zone, It's a decent watch got a great cast in it. Jay Morh made me laugh several times in it so to me it's not really a scary movie more so a science fiction.
