In the hilarious second film inspired by the silly cartoon with a catchy theme song, Christopher Showerman takes over the role of the eponymous George in 'George of the Jungle 2.' In the series' typical clever, tongue-in-cheek fashion, the new lead makes reference to the first film by saying, 'I'm new George. Studio too cheap to pay for Brendan Fraser.’ Despite some new faces, this direct-to-video sequel picks up five years after the first year left off where George and Ursula (now played by Julie Benz) have gotten quite comfortable together in their cozy jungle home. It's not long before George hears from his brother, Ape (John Cleese), who needs help dealing with a massive gambling debt he's accrued while in Vegas. When the happy couple returns to the States, they must face off against Ursula's angry ex-fiance (Thomas Haden Church) and disapproving mother.
