  • Stonking good movie

This movie is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is very futuristic, and for it's time, the sets are spectacular. No CGI's here! Standout performances from Roger Livesey as the good Doctor, and Marius Goring as Conductor 71. If you love classic movies, you will enjoy this charming film.

  • British WWII film in dreams

I bought the DVD because I know one house in my village where the Asquith family lived and one son was a British film director in the midst of WWII but not very popular, so I chose A Matter of Life and Death instead because of how spectacular the two directors were.

  • A very good film

An amazing film, it has a very unusual story that makes it very interesting.

  • Hypothetical film detailing what could happen if you where supposed to go heaven but somehow got missed?

If they where handing out Oscars the I think this film would wipe the floor, however as it was made in 1946, and of course Oscars where only handed to American made films? I would recommend you see this film, if you haven't already.

  • An engaging fantasy from beginning to end.

Beautifully presented movie in every way - story, characters, cinematography. In my opinion it is one of the greatest fantasies ever filmed.

Not everyone's taste but it is mine. A very different war type film. Super.

  • Very clever use of 1940s special effects.

Great special effects before the days of CGI. Lovely 1940s accents.

  • The best of the best British film-making

One of the best British films of all times. If your jaw doesn't drop and your tears don't fall, I'd be amazed. Just gorgeous.
