British classic directed by Henry Cornelius. Every year, barrister Alan McKim (John Gregson) and wife Wendy (Dinah Sheridan) compete against Alan's friend Ambrose Claverhouse (Kenneth More), in the London to Brighton vintage car race. This time round however, Alan's 1904 roadster Genevieve breaks down en route. Angered by Ambrose's jokes at the expense of his beloved car, Alan bets his rival that he can beat him on the return journey to London. Will Alan be able to revive Genevieve and coast to victory?.

  • The genius of "Genevieve"

A wonderful, very English, little film showing a country we oldies fondly (and probably incorrectly) remember. Rather like "Passport To Pimlico" or "The Ladykillers" (the Alec Guiness original) this is a superbly entertaining piece of film making!
