    Very good

    Not the best WW2 film (too many big names playing cameos) and overly reliant on set pieces such as and overly enthusiastic Frenchman greeting the troops on the beach with one bottle of wine! While these are all based on true events they do detract a little from the film...it becomes a series of mini episodes and some of the sense of scale and horror of the day is lost. Still a very good film and worth adding to your collection.
