Has to be the very best Brit gangster film ever made, nothing made even comes close. Hard as ice is Jack with no feeling for anyone, except family. Has to be Michael Cain's very best role he's ever played, superb acting all through. He shows he can act totally evil in one scene when he raises his shotgun in the air, by the barrel, and so coldly says, "goodbye Eric" pure evil in his face and eyes, great stuff.

The Ipcress File -1965. Is Len Deighton's first and best in the 'Harry Palmer' series. Michael Caine exudes a deep-frozen charisma in this gruelling mental torture caper. Playing a cockney crook turned secret agent. Twist after twist follows as he winds up on the trail of a missing scientist. When he discovers a piece of tape marked "IPCRESS" he suddenly becomes a marked man. Michael Caine plays an unconventional kind of anti-hero. Suspenseful!
