This movie is one of my favourite Carry on's. I love it in monochrome but like it equally well in this colourized version.

The film is from the early sixties and is in good-quality clear black and white. It contains many Carry On favourites such as Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Kenneth Connor, Joan Sims and Liz Fraser (who later ended up in Dad's Army). Carry On Regardless is fairly unique in that it contains a lot of sketches rather than a continuous storyline. The action centres around Sid James' "Helping Hands Agency" which is an employment agency that sends its team out on individual assignments, each of which takes up one "scene" in the film. You can see: Kenneth Williams taking a sligthly unusual pet for a walk (great line from the taxi driver: "I'll take you but not your brother!", Kenneth Connor as an enigmatic spy who after a mysterious meeting on a train with a femme fatale (played by Betty Marsden from Round The Horne - she is also in Carry On Camping as Terry Scott's wife) ends up on the Forth Bridge, Fenella Fielding (the "gothic lady" from Carry On Screaming) as a customer in search of a "baby sitter" to make her husband jealous, Liz Fraser as a model hired to try on the customer's wife's new clothes - and the customer's wife comes back..., Sid James in the hospital waiting room when a misunderstanding happens as to who he is..., Charles Hawtrey (very skinny slightly camp fellow) as a champion boxer, Joan Sims as a pretty hostess who enjoys the hospitality a little too much. Like many Carry On films, this is a nice, slightly cheeky nostalgic film that fits nicely into the "vintage/classis comedy" genre... ah, they don't make them like this anymore...Read full review
